666 IS NOT THE MARK
“It puts under compulsion all people—the small and the great, the rich and the poor, the free and the slaves—that these should be marked on their right hand or on their forehead, and that nobody can buy or sell except a person having the mark, the name of the wild beast or the number of its name. This is where it calls for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is a man’s number, and its number is 666.” Revelation 13:16-18 NWT
NAME OF THE BEAST - CITIZENSHIP
The name of the beast is the name of a sovereign nation and someone is marked with its name by their citizenship. Primarily by means of their Birth Certificate, Passport, Driver’s License, or any other official identification issued by the State.
NUMBER OF ITS NAME - TAX ID
The number of its name in not a numerical code of the name as in numerology, but rather the value of it name as a tax identification, of which is coded with a citizenship classification as in a natural born or naturalized immigrant, etc., etc. As for example, a Social Security Number for United States citizens.
RIGHT HAND - OFFICIAL
The right hand (as opposed to both hands) does not symbolize a worker or slave, but rather the power of law and order. Therefore, a mark means an active official of the State, including a retired compensated official of the State.
FOREHEAD - SLAVE
The head does not represent authority, but rather being marked on the head means that person is a slave, as in having a shaved head, nose ring, earring, necklace, tattoo or branded. In as much a head tax is a poll tax made during voter registration. In Sumerian, Babylonia language, a marked head means a slave. Therefore, everyone who is an active taxpayer including sales and use taxes for anyone unemployed or self-employed. In other words the Mark is a symbol of ownership by the owner of the Mark.

However, the ‘number of the Beast’ is different from the ‘number of its name’ and is not the ‘name of the Beast.’ 666, is not the Mark on the right hand or forehead, Its the number of man or mankind. Primarily this number is in reference to Adam being created on the six day Creation. But, what I consider most significant is that humans have been on this earth for only 6000 years to date. Therefore, It seems to mean a Judgement, a limit of six thousand and sixty six years of independent human civilization. As precedented by Genesis 6:3 (6:3, as six three score, is only a coincidence, the Torah was not indexed with number in those days), which is not referring the human lifespan but rather as the time remaining until the destruction by the Flood. So, Noah knew when the Flood would occur.
The “total time period from Adam’s creation to 1987 C.E., [is] 6012 years,” according to the book Insight on the Scriptures, vol. 1, page 459, by the Watchtower Bible and Track Society, 1988.
So, 666 is 6066 years, I presume some kind of scribal error because zero did not exist in Biblical times, (although, this conjecture might not be tenable, It just as well be 6,660). This makes the time from Adam’s to 6,066 years later as 2041, as the end of independent human civilization, or as the end of Armageddon, not the beginning, although it may be short in duration as within one year. However, the Great Tribulation will transpire, at most, for a duration of 7 years, or at least 3.5 years, before Armageddon, according to Revelation 11.
